Back in the 90s I had this pet peeve about everything being called a "technology". Java technology. USB technology. The word delivers no value. Companies would announce they're using zizzlezoz technology and after spending 20 minutes figuring out what it was I'd be enraged that they didn't just say "we're using the zizzlezoz database cache".
Anyway, here we are in 2025 and everything is an Industry-Leading AI-Powered Platform.
The devolution of a(n arbitrarily picked-on) web site from a product with a clear identity and direct messaging about what it does to being rechristened an AI Productivity Platform with a hypnospiral and everything. This is basically everything now. Text editor? AI platform. Toaster? Believe it or not, AI platfom.
